Sugar Free Peach Pancakes

Aside from just coffee, sugar free Torani syrups can be used in a wide variety of baking. Sticking with a breakfast theme, here is a neat recipe I recently ran across for some sugar-free blueberry pancakes. The ingredients should all be simple to find, including:

I really would say that they taste better than regular pancakes. A part of the phenomenom is in your head I'm positive, as I know that something good for me is going into my body will make me feel better in general. Nonetheless, it uses slightly similar ingredients that provide a different taste. Some people will like them, others won't. You just will not know until you give it a shot.

Start by combining all of the recipe's ingredients altogether just as you do with a basic pancake mix. It's easy with a little olive oil in a no stick pan. Perhaps the biggest dissimilarities while making them is simply that this pancake mix won't "bubble" the same as white flapjacks. It can be a little more challenging to see when its time to flip the pancakes, but with a little patience you can tell when the bottom is browned and ready to be flipped.

Flapjacks need to be served fresh, or covered with papertowels to stop it from becoming dry. As always, fresh pancakes are ideal but understandably not always possible. Present to guests with sugar free syrup topping and/or organic fresh Strawberries. Cooked food doesn't rapidly lose it's nutritional value over time, if you're serving fresh fruits you may want to cut them as late as possible to avoid oxidation of the vital nutrients they contain.

When all is said and done, if everything was completed correctly you will have 6, four-inch flapjacks. Each pan cake has around 2.3grams net carbs and 150 calories, so do not go overboard. These pan cakes however are rich in healthy fats and fiber, which can help prevent high spikes in blood glucose and insulin all the while making a delicious treat once in a while. Alternative flavourings and fresh fruits can also be utilized besides just Peach for a little more variety.

Most ingredients like the Almond Flour/Meal can be found at your local grocer but the Sugar Free Peach Syrup will need to be purchased from a specialty site like Buy Coffee Canada.
